Andrew’s Bar Mitzvah | Temple Sinai | Fox Chapel Golf Club
Bonino, Bonino, Bonino, Bonino, Bonino, Bonino, Bonino, Bonino, B-O-N-I-N-O!!!
But lets back up for a minute. Andrew’s day began at Temple Sinai with a few pre-service portraits. The weather was perfect that day, so after we finished up with pictures on the Bimah we headed out for some portraits on the lawn. When we headed back inside Andrew’s biggest present all the way from the west coast was waiting for him in the lobby. His best friend Jeremy from EKC had flown in for the occasion. I’m told that Andrew did the same for Jeremy on his big day. The service was beautiful. So filled with love and emotion. Some where in the middle of his Torah reading I realized that Andrew had been reading for a really long time. His father explained later than Andrew had decided to learn additional Torah readings. After the service all of Andrew’s friends and family gathered for the luncheon. Andrew entered the room and immediately took it upon himself to walk around and great each one of his guests. It was only half way through the day and I was already so impressed with this amazing young man!
Andrew loves the Pittsburgh Penguins, so naturally his party had a hockey theme. The ladies from Perfectly Planned by Shari really out did themselves. They used hockey pucks for the place cards. NHL team logos were used as centerpieces. And there were actual pictures of Andrew on the ice placed around the room. The Fox Chapel Golf Club never looked better. Remember earlier when I mentioned Bonino? Well Andrew was even kind enough to do the Bonino cheer for me. I had to practically beg, but he appeased me all the same. It was so cool!
That perfect weather continued right into the evening. After a few more family portraits on the front lawn, the guests enjoyed cocktails and a few appetizers on the back patio. It was quite a party. The guys from Steve Maffie Entertainment had everyone up and dancing all night long. Only once did the party slow down. Mom and dad an awesome surprise for Andrew and his grandfather. An amazing fireworks display right off the back patio.
Thank you Larry and Betty for trusting me to capture Andrew’s Bar Mitzvah. I had such a great time!
Did I mention that Andrew’s bestie from the west coast was Nate Sherer’s grandson. Look at this proud grandpa!
