I’ve had tons of people ask me what photographer’s do in the off season. There are some obvious answers… taxes, album orders, rebranding (which I am currently working on), and of course relaxation! This year my off season wasn’t as long as normal. My last wedding of 2012 was on November 24th. And I started right up again on Ground Hogs Day with a Bat Mitzvah. My first wedding of the year following the very next weekend. Both events from February 2013 will soon be blogged. But since my site is a blog I’ve decided to do some reflexion from some of my favorite shots and moments of 2012.

I couldn’t think of anything better to kick of these posts than a tribute to my beautiful brides of 2012. I always say that all brides are beautiful. And I truly believe that! If you think about it these gorgeous ladies spent hours of time planning their big days, searching for the perfect dresses, testing make-up and hair styles, basically agonizing over every single detail of the most important day of their lives. And I am happy to say that each and everyone of them really enjoyed their wedding day. Having gone through this myself I can honestly tell you that it is very hard to just relax and enjoy your wedding day. I always tell my brides that you have to stop and enjoy it. It doesn’t matter what doesn’t happen exactly as you planned. Life isn’t perfect so why should your wedding day be! Luckily each one of these ladies did just that. And it truly shows on their faces.

Some of these shots are caught moments and some are posed portraits. But each of these shots are personal favorites of mine. Which I am so excited to share with you. So a special Thank You to all of my 2012 brides. After going through these images I just can’t wait for my 2013 season to be in full swing!

This shot of Valerie inspired this post. She was my final bride of 2012, therefore this shot was still fresh in my mind!

I first met Marie and Jeff when I shot Marie’s best friends wedding last year. Marie gave one of the BEST maid of honor speeches I have ever heard at a wedding. So when she called me about shooting her wedding I remembered her instantly. When wedding day arrived in early November it was as if they had paid to have the perfect weather to be delivered. The ceremony was at St Mary’s of the Mount. Afterwards we went to Chatham Village, Marie’s childhood neighborhood, for some fun bridal party photos! With every wedding there are always a few details that stick out in my mind. With this affair is was the way these two looked at each other. They both seem to just light up inside. It was an honor to be there to capture your special day. I hope you love the photos as much as I do!
